Vande Bharat Train: Vande Bharat train is a semi-high speed train, which is completely manufactured in India. Vande Bharat train is being run in different parts of the country on the lines of Shatabdi train between two states.
New Delhi. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has announced that selected students of Odisha will be given the opportunity to travel free of cost in the Vande Bharat train. 50 students of Saraswati Vidya Mandir will be selected through a competition, who will get a chance to travel in Vande Bharat train. The minister announced this during the Bhoomi Pujan before the construction of a Saraswati Vidya Mandir school in Cuttack.
Ashwini Vaishnav said during a conversation with the media, ‘When the students saw the Vande Bharat train, curiosity arose in them to travel in it. In this case 50 students will be selected through competition. They will be given a chance to travel in the train. PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Vande Bharat train between Puri to Howrah through video conferencing on 18 May this year.
Minister Ashwini Vaishnav reviewed the development works at Bhubaneswar railway station and expressed his satisfaction over it. He said a day ago, ‘It is a matter of pride that the prestigious Bhubaneswar Rajdhani train will get a new ‘Tejas’ rake from tomorrow. It is the vision of PM Modi to provide better facilities to the passengers. I will visit and inspect Bhubaneshwar Railway Station tomorrow.”
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for redevelopment of 508 railway stations under the AMRUT Bharat Station Scheme through video conferencing from the national capital, which includes a total of 25 stations in Odisha. Many Union Ministers and Chief Ministers or Governors also attended the foundation stone laying ceremony from their respective states.
