Considering the problems of the fans, Indian Railways has decided to run a special Vande Bharat train for the India-Pakistan match.
Top railway sources told News18 that Indian Railways will run special Vande Bharat trains for Ahmedabad in view of the India-Pakistan cricket match. Fans from across India have planned to travel to the Gujarat capital, with hotel rooms and flights already booked. But, closer to match day, flights become more expensive.
The timing of the train is interesting!
Sources told News18 that special trains from neighboring states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra will facilitate those traveling to the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad for the match. The train’s itinerary makes it even more interesting. The top official said, “The scheduling has been done in such a way that the fans reach Ahmedabad by train a few hours before the start of the match and can easily return to their homes after the match is over.”
What is Railways’ logic behind such scheduling?
It is natural to raise a question in the mind that why the scheduling of India-Pakistan World Cup match special trains of Railways has been done in such a way that the fans reach Ahmedabad only just before the match. Actually, this is being done in view of the very expensive hotel rents around the match day in Ahmedabad. The official said that the idea behind running these trains is that people can return home after the match is over. “Trains running from these particular locations will stop at Sabarmati and Ahmedabad stations, both of which are close to the Narendra Modi Stadium,” the source said.
