How much time does it take to go from Delhi to Katra?
The New Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express covers the distance of 655 km between Delhi and Katra in 8 hours and 5 minutes. This train stops at Ambala Cantonment, Ludhiana Junction, Pathankot Cantonment and Jammu Tawi. This semi-high-speed train was developed by the Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory (ICF) and was inaugurated on October 3, 2019.
It is worth noting that the Railways has been working on connectivity for a long time to connect various areas of India to the Kashmir Valley. In such a situation, in December 2024, the news came out that the rail line connecting Delhi to Srinagar directly could start in January.
