Vande Bharat Speed ​​​​Test: Vande Bharat trains are being expanded rapidly across the country, in this episode, preparations are being made to operate these trains on two more routes via Bareilly.

According to media reports, the speed trial of Vande Bharat train can be done on these routes next month.

The good news for the people of Bareilly is that both these Vande Bharat trains will pass through the middle of the city, which will also benefit them.

Indian Railways has prepared the route blueprint, which includes Lucknow-Delhi, Kathgodam-Delhi, Tanakpur to Lucknow via Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur and Sitapur and part from Ramnagar to Agra.

It is expected that the speed test for these Vande Bharat Express services will be done on two of these routes passing through Bareilly by next month.

Recently, two new Vande Bharat Express trains have been welcomed in the fleet of Northern Railway Moradabad Division. One makes the journey from Dehradun to Delhi easier and the other serves passengers between Dehradun and Lucknow via Bareilly.

Discussions are already underway to run Vande Bharat Express services on several routes like Lucknow-Delhi, Ramnagar-Agra, Kathgodam-Delhi and Tanakpur-Lucknow before the elections.

The average speed of Vande Bharat trains has come down from 84.48 kmph in 2020-21 to 76.25 kmph in 2023-24, the Railway Ministry said in response to an RTI query.

Railway officials said that not only Vande Bharat but many other trains are also maintaining safety speed at places where ‘large-scale infrastructure work’ is going on.
