Indian Railways is going to launch the third variant of Vande Bharat Sleeper train in January 2025. This train will run from New Delhi to Srinagar. The train will cover the distance of more than 800 km in less than 13 hours. Ticket prices for this train will be Rs 2000 (3A), Rs 2500 (2A) and Rs 3000 (1A).
New Delhi: Indian Railways is soon coming up with another new form of Vande Bharat Express. Railways is preparing to launch Vande Bharat Sleeper train in January 2025. This train will be for long distance and night travel. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav unveiled the prototype of this train in September 2024. The first Vande Bharat Sleeper train will run between New Delhi and Srinagar. This train will run on the USBRL project. It will cover a distance of more than 800 km in less than 13 hours. The train will be operated by Northern Railway (NR) zone. ET Now quoted a senior railway official as saying, “This train will connect the national capital to the capital of Jammu and Kashmir.” It is expected that this train will be extended to Baramulla later.
Will depart from New Delhi at 7 pm
The New Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper train will depart from New Delhi at 7 pm and reach Srinagar at 8 am. On the way, this train will stop at some major stations like Ambala Cantt Junction, Ludhiana Junction, Kathua, Jammu Tawi, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Sangaldan and Banihal.
This train will have three types of tickets for passengers. These include AC 3 Tier (3A), AC 2 Tier (2A) and AC First Class (1A).
How much will be the train fare?
For traveling by Vande Bharat Sleeper train between New Delhi and Srinagar, the fare of 3A is expected to be around Rs 2000, 2A Rs 2500 and 1A Rs 3000.
