Vande Metro: After the immense success of Vande Bharat trains, now their metro version is also ready to come. It is believed that Vande Metro will start running on the tracks in July. It will run on short distance routes as well as local routes. Like the metro, one can travel in this train by taking a ticket.
New Delhi: The wait for Vande Metro Train is about to end. If everything goes well, Vande Metro will start running on the tracks from July this year. In the coming time, it will also be run in place of Mumbai local. Railway officials said that this train can have up to 4, 8, 12 and 16 coaches. But it will start with a train of 12 coaches. Each coach will have seating arrangements similar to Delhi Metro. If there is a seating arrangement in the middle of the compartment, then wide benches will be installed for that also. Railways said that like the metro, one can travel in this train by taking a ticket. There will be no need to reserve tickets. This train will be for short distances. In the coming time, Vande Metro will also be able to replace Mumbai local, where there is a huge demand for local trains. Apart from Mumbai local, Vande Metro will also be run in Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata. At present, the picture is not clear on what the fare of this train will be. But indications are being given that the fare will be kept according to the pocket of the common man. Its coaches are designed in such a way that maximum number of passengers can travel standing. This train will also reach the same speed as the metro.
How many times a day will you walk
Vande Metro will run between cities less than 100 kilometers apart. It is a short distance version of Vande Bharat Express. These trains will run on one route 4 to 5 times a day. Passengers will have a rapid shuttle like experience with this train. With this, working people and students will be able to travel from one city to another in less time. They will be able to avail world class transport facility. The Railway Ministry had directed Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory (ICF) and Lucknow-based Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO) to start production of rakes for Vande Bharat trains as soon as possible.
