Vi has made two special offers to provide some relief to its low-income customers during the coronavirus epidemic. Of this, customers will be given a free recharge plan of Rs 49 under the first offer. It will be for one time only. The second offer introduced RC79 combo vouchers for low-income customers, which offers double talk time.

In the Rs 49 Vi prepaid recharge plan, customers will get talk time of Rs 38. Not only this, 300MB of free data will also be given in it. Its validity will be 28 days. Calling will not be unlimited in this. Local and national calls will be charged Rs 0.25 per minute in the plan. Vi also offers an app and web recharge exclusive offer, in which customers will be given extra 200MB of data on this plan.

Vi says that this Rs 49 plan will be made available to 60 million low-income customers, which will provide benefits of Rs 294 crore to these low-income groups. The company said “With these offers, Vi will help its customers to stay safely connected and able to access all the necessary information in this challenging time.”

Apart from freeing the Rs 49 recharge plan, the company has introduced a double talktime offer in the combo voucher RC79 for its low-income customers. This 79 rupee combo voucher previously included talk time of 64 rupees, 200MB data and 28 days validity. At the same time, now it will get talk time of 128 rupees. However, other benefits remain the same as before. The company will also provide 200MB of extra data to customers on recharge through its app and website.

It is worth noting that before Vi, Airtel had also made a free Rs 49 plan for its 55 million low-income customers. Apart from this, the company has also introduced double benefits in the plan of Rs 79.
