Finally the title track of Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak starring Deepika Padukone has been released. The song is sung by Arijit Singh, the music is composed by Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy & the lyrics are penned by Gulzar
After the fun Nok Jhok that is all about the budding romance between Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey’s character, the makers have now finally revealed the title track of the film. Sung by Arijit Singh, the music of the song is composed by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy, and the hard-hitting lyrics are penned by the legendary Gulzar. While the song will hit you hard, the visuals will send chills down your spine.
The song visualises the dreaded moment when Malti (Deepika Padukone) goes through the acid-attack. And cuts back and forth with the police investigation and Malti dealing with the attack. Arijit Singh is at the top of his game with this song and the music by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy is outstanding. But the major reason, this song works is because of Gulzar’s lyrics.
Co-produced by Deepika Padukone, Chhapaak is directed by Meghna Gulzar. The movie is all set to hit the screens on January 10.
