A video is going viral on social media in which a woman’s brain surgery is being done. The woman’s surgery lasted for two and a half hours but the special thing is that during this time the woman was watching a movie of Junior NTR.
Recently, a unique surgery was done in a government hospital in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. This surgery created a stir in the medical world. Actually, a 3.3 x 2.7 cm tumor was found in the left part of the brain of 55-year-old Ananthalakshmi, a resident of Kondapalli. Due to this, she was constantly suffering from serious problems like headaches. After this problem came to light, the doctors performed surgery on Ananthalakshmi’s brain. The video of this surgery is going viral on social media.
During this complex brain surgery, doctors operated on Ananthalakshmi while keeping her conscious. To ensure that Ananthalakshmi remained calm during the surgery, doctors showed her a movie of Telugu film actor Junior NTR. This unique treatment is called ‘Awake Craniotomy’, in which surgery is done by keeping the patient conscious so that his attention remains diverted and mental balance is maintained during the surgery.
According to Telugu Scribe, the surgery lasted for about two and a half hours and was successful. Doctors said that the patient’s condition is stable and she may be discharged from the hospital in the next five days. Using this special technique, the doctors successfully removed the patient’s tumor. Ananthalakshmi is fully conscious after the surgery.

The video of the surgery has gone viral, to which people have reacted fiercely. One person wrote, “The doctors are amazing.” Another said, “Even doctors of government hospitals can perform well with the available resources. Congratulations!” At the same time, some people also shared memes on this.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time that this type of awake craniotomy has been used. In January this year, another patient also underwent brain tumor surgery while being conscious, which was much discussed. During that time, the patient played the guitar during the surgery.
