Visa Smart Delay- In view of the problems faced by passengers due to flight cancellation or delay, Visa has now started a new service in collaboration with Collision.
New Delhi. There is a good news for Visa cardholders. The company has now announced to provide premium airport lounge facility to all its cardholders in case of flight delays across the Asian continent. Visa will provide this service in collaboration with Coalition. Visa cardholders will be able to access the premium lounge in case of flight cancellation or delay without having to do any additional paperwork.
The company says that one in five flights in Asia is delayed. Because of this, passengers have to face a lot of problems. In view of the problems faced by passengers due to flight cancellation or delay, Visa has now launched Visa SmartDelay service in collaboration with Coalition to provide free access to airport lounges to cardholders.
What is Visa SmartDelay?
Visa SmartDelay is a service that provides complimentary airport lounge access to Visa cardholders. To avail this facility, Visa cardholders will have to register their flights with Visa SmartDelay before commencing their travel. Visa SmartDelay Service will detect whether the passenger’s flight has been delayed or not through a third party flight data tracker firm.
Visa cardholders will get access to lounges included in the LoungeKey network as soon as airlines announce flight cancellations or delays. The passenger will not have to fill any form. Along with food and beverages, they will also get many other facilities for free at the airport lounge. Visa SmartDelay tracks almost all major commercial airline flights. Therefore, information about flight delays is immediately available and the passenger is given lounge access immediately.
It is necessary to fulfill these conditions
To avail the benefit of Visa SmartDelay, it is necessary to fulfill certain conditions. Visa cardholders are required to register with Visa SmartDelay 24 hours before the departure of their flight. The passenger will be given lounge access only after the airlines announce flight delay. Passengers will get lounge access only when lounges connected to the LoungeKey network are available at the airport. If there is no LoungeKey networked lounge at the airport then this lounge facility will not be available.
