If you are planning to visit Thailand then there is good news for you. Indians will not require visa to travel to Thailand for the next 6 months. According to Thai Tourism, you can go to Thailand without a visa from 10 November 2023 to 10 May 2024. During this period, tourists can stay there for 30 days. Thai Tourism has provided this facility to the citizens of India and Taiwan. Earlier in the month of September, Thailand had also provided this facility for Chinese tourists.
Sri Lanka had also given exemption-
Before Thailand, Sri Lanka had also given good news to Indian tourists. Sri Lanka had announced to provide visa free entry to Indian tourists till 31 March 2024. However, Sri Lanka had announced visa free entry for tourists from 7 countries including India, China and Russia. After the Corona period, many countries are providing facilities in their own ways to woo Indian tourists.
Indians go to Thailand in large numbers-
A large number of Indian tourists visit Thailand. So far this year, after Malaysia, China and South Korea, the maximum number of tourists have come from India. So far this year, 12 lakh tourists have gone to Thailand from India. According to Indian Government data, the number of Indians traveling abroad is continuously increasing. In the year 2011, 1.4 crore Indians traveled abroad, which increased to 2.7 crore in the year 2019. After this came the Corona period. Despite that, 2.1 crore Indians traveled abroad in the year 2022.

According to the data of the Union Tourism Ministry last year, maximum number of Indians traveled to UAE. About 59 lakh people traveled to UAE. Whereas 24 lakh Indians traveled to Saudi Arabia and 17 lakh Indians traveled to America. If we talk about Singapore, then 9.9 lakh Indians moved to Singapore. While 9.3 lakh Indians traveled to Thailand. 9.2 lakh Indians traveled to England and 8.7 lakh people traveled to Qatar. 8.3 lakh Indians traveled to Kuwait, 7.7 lakh to Canada and 7.2 lakh to Oman.
