You will be able to visit two more countries with Schengen visa

Romania and Bulgaria are set to take the first steps towards integration with the Schengen area on 31 March 2024. All internal air and maritime border controls between the two countries and the countries of the Schengen Area will be removed, with free land movement to be introduced immediately thereafter. This means that Schengen visa holders will now be able to visit Bulgaria and Romania also.

France will give digital visa

The country is currently working on issuing around 70,000 visas online for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. This system is designed for athletes, journalists and delegations to ensure timely processing of applications. Every applicant’s accreditation card will contain a link to a digital visa application, to be completed through the France Visa website.

South Korea is giving visa for digital nomads

After a long wait in 2023, South Korea has finally launched its Digital Nomad Visa on January 1, 2024. With this visa, people living in another country can stay in the country for up to two years while working outside the country. Applicants must show proof of annual income of more than 84.96 million won, or Rs 53,63,000, which is twice Korea’s per capita gross national income of 42.48 million won, or Rs 26,81,500. Couples and dependents of digital nomads will also be allowed to enter the country with this visa.

H1B holders can renew visa in America

This will be the first time in almost 20 years that the US will take responsibility for H-1B domestic visa renewal starting on January 29. As a pilot program, 20,000 visa holders will be able to renew their H-1B visas while staying in the US. Half of these applicants will be Indians, while the rest will be from Canada, as currently only these two countries have been approved for this program. Spouses and dependents will also be included in the program and applications will be accepted here.

Will be able to work in UK on tourist visa

There is good news for foreign travelers working in the UK. Now the UK government has updated its visa policy to allow travelers on tourist visas to work while visiting the country. Travelers on tourist visas are now allowed to work in Britain due to changes in the country’s visa policy. Effective January 31, 2024, immigration laws will be changed to allow visa holders to engage in work-related activities in the UK, provided their travel is for a family trip or any other non-work related purpose.

Attending meetings, interviews and conferences, visiting sites, negotiating and finalizing agreements and contracts are examples of what this will involve. Working from home or being a digital nomad will not be covered. People who want to go to the UK for work will need to apply for a worker visa.
