VISA Rules Change: On Tuesday, the Royal Oman Police gave an important information in which it was told that a visa service for Gulf countries is being discontinued. It has been told that now travelers will not be allowed to convert visit visa into work visa. This new rule will come into effect from Tuesday 31st October.
Apart from this, an important information has also been given for Bangladeshi immigrants in which it has been said that there will be a ban on issuing visas to Bangladeshi immigrants.
What was the rule earlier?
Before this announcement, travelers could enter Oman on a tourist or visit visa and then convert it to a work visa.
Rules are different for GCC citizens
There are separate rules for entry into Oman for GCC citizens. That means citizens of GCC countries can visit the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait with a single visa. It has been informed that a unified tourist visa has been approved for Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Only last month, the UAE Minister had said that this rule can be implemented next year.
