New Zealand: There is big news for Indians wishing to work in New Zealand. Some important updates have been made in the visa rules here.
Visa Rules Change: In view of the shortage of workers in New Zealand, the government has taken a big step. For this, some necessary updates have been made in the visa rules while improving the immigration process. The purpose of this change is to reduce the work experience for working and increase the limit of work visa, which will help Indian workers as well as workers from other countries to get work here easily.
Work experience has also been reduced
Earlier, it was necessary to have at least three years of experience to work in New Zealand. Now, in view of the huge shortage of workers in the country, it has been reduced to two years. New Zealand has now found two ways for seasonal workers as well.
Under this, experienced seasonal workers will be given a multi-entry visa with a validity of three years and a seven-month single-entry visa for less experienced workers. This step has been taken keeping in mind the demand for seasonal workers. Along with this, New Zealand has also increased the visa limit of two years to three years for those jobs which fall within the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification (ANZSCO) skill level 4 or 5.
Earn enough to bring the family
Apart from this, New Zealand has now also removed the average salary criteria for Employer Work Visa (AEWV) and Specific Purpose Work Visa (SPWV). Under this new rule, employers can offer salary as per the market rate for the job role and location while posting about the job. However, they no longer need to meet the predetermined salary criteria.
However, now there is no average salary criterion after 2025. But if an employer work visa holder wants to bring his children to New Zealand, he will have to earn 55,844 New Zealand dollars, which is about Rs 27 lakh annually. Along with this, now recognized employers also do not need to complete New Zealand’s online training module.
