Vodafone-Idea is currently facing a decline in its user base due to stiff competition and delay in 5G launch. In order to retain its users, the telco is launching new plans and offers to entice its falling user base. In a recent launch Vi has introduced a new recharge plan, offering additional data at no extra cost on select prepaid plan recharge through the Vi App.
Vi has announced a ‘Maha recharge scheme’ where users can get an additional 5GB of data if they recharge via the Vi app. The limited-time offer will apply to recharge plans priced at Rs 299 and above and will have a validity of three days.
Vi plans with 5GB extra data
Vodafone Idea said in a statement that users who recharge between Rs 199 and Rs 299 will get an extra 2GB data for three days. The telco also said that Vi customers can access Vi Movies & TV, Vi Music, and Vi Games on the Vi App, which has more than 1200 mobile games based on android and HTML5.
Earlier, Vodafone Idea introduced two new prepaid plans for its customers who are looking for more data and entertainment options. These plans are available at Rs 368 and Rs 369 and offer similar benefits with some variations. Both the plans provide 60GB of data (2GB per day) for a validity period of 30 days, along with 100 messages per day and a subscription to Vi Movies & TV, which is a streaming service that offers movies, shows, and live TV channels.
The difference between the two plans lies in the voice calling and OTT benefits. The Rs 368 plan gives unlimited voice calls to any network in India and a subscription to SunNXT, which is a streaming platform that offers a variety of South Indian content, such as movies, shows, music, and live TV. The Rs 369 plan, on the other hand, gives a subscription to SonyLIV, which is a streaming platform that offers content from Sony channels, such as movies, shows, sports, and live TV.
Apart from these benefits, both the plans also come with some exclusive features that are only available for Vi customers.
In addition to these plans, Vi also launched a Rs 181 prepaid data plan last month. The plan offers 1GB of daily data for 30 days and is ideal for users who quickly exhaust their daily data allowance from their main recharge plan.
In the meantime, Vi has recently scrapped its Rs 549 prepaid plan shortly after introducing it. The plan had a validity of 180 days, but no unlimited calls, no OTT benefits, or SMS benefits. New rules for incoming calling and messages, spam calls will get relief, see details inside
