Voter List: If you are more than 18 years of age and want to vote in the elections to be held in the country, then it is mandatory for you to have a valid Voter ID card. Voter ID card is also used as an identity card. The government of the country gives the right to vote to all people above the age of 18 years. If you have filled the form to get your name added to the voter list, then for the voter ID card, first you have to check whether your name has appeared in the voter list or not. You can check this in many ways.

Apart from this, this work can also be done by downloading the VoterHelpline App. You can also check your name by visiting the nearest Voter Center. After checking here, if your name is not visible, then you can quickly fill Form No.-6 so that your name appears in the voter list.
Check this way on the portal of Election Commission
- Go to the official website of National Voters Service Portal https://www.nvsp.in/.
- After that click on Search in Electoral Roll.
- Now you can check whether your name is in the voter list or not through any one of the options which will be given to you on the next page.
- You can search through the details. Search through EPIC number.
- If you select ‘Search by Details’ option then you should enter your Name, Father’s/Husband’s Name, Age/Date of Birth, Gender, State, District, Assembly Constituency and Pin Code.
- After that click on Search. If you select Search by EPIC No then you will have to enter EPIC number, state and pin code.
- Then you have to click on Search. Apart from the other given options, you can select the Locate on Map option.
After this you can search your name in the list.
Whereas those who already have Voter ID can verify their name in the voter list on the Voter Helpline App or by sending SMS (ECI Voter ID Number) to 1950. If the name is not found for re-registration then they will have to fill Form-6.
