Travel With Waiting List Ticket: Crores of passengers travel in Indian Railways trains every day, most of the people take tickets months before travelling, let us tell you that Indian Railways also provides online ticket booking service to the passengers. You can book tickets online through IRCTC website.
IRCTC starts issuing tickets four months after the journey. You get a confirmed ticket when the seat becomes vacant. If the seat is not vacant then you are given a waiting ticket.
Seat is not available in waiting ticket
Please note that if you are issued a waiting ticket, your seat is not available. So today we are going to tell you what are those circumstances in which you can travel only with the help of waiting. In which regular seats are also given.
Waiting ticket process
Waitlisted tickets have a number after them, which shows the number of passengers ahead of you and will be given RC/berth. With each RC, this number increases and gets closer to the RAC position.
These are the railway rules regarding tickets
1. IRCTC has stated on its website that the names of passengers whose status is Confirmed or RAC after chart preparation will appear in the chart and can proceed with their journey.
2. Names of passengers whose names are waitlisted will appear in the chart along with waitlisted passengers.
3. Cancellation of e-ticket is allowed even before the train chart is prepared. For claims of e-tickets being canceled after preparation of reservation chart, users will have to send an email to etickets@irctc.co.in as soon as possible, giving complete details of the ticket and stating the claim, which will then be done. Will go.
The action will be taken offline by IRCTC with the Railway Administration and the refund approved by the Railway Administration will be credited back to the users’ account.
4. After chart preparation, names of passengers whose names are completely left out of the waiting list (all passengers in the transaction) will be removed and will not appear in the chart. They are not allowed to board the train. If found traveling in the train, he will be considered a passenger traveling without a ticket as per railway rules.
5. After chart preparation, cancellation of remaining waitlisted tickets will be done by IRCTC and refund will be arranged by IRCTC from Railways and credited electronically to the customer/agent account.
6. If a person has purchased a ticket from the counter, and his ticket has not been confirmed, then he can travel by boarding the train.
