'Wakf bill will be passed in winter session', Amit Shah announced from the rally

On the other hand, Union Home Minister Shah said that BJP does not make any such promise which cannot be fulfilled. He said, “Rahul Baba and Company cannot do development” and only a ‘double engine’ government will ensure the development of Haryana. He said, “We will keep the country’s border safe, protect reservation and will never let Article 370 come back

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday vowed to get the Waqf Amendment Bill passed during the winter session later this year and said those opposing it would “be put straight” once the law is enacted. Speaking at rallies in Badshahpur and Indri constituencies in poll-bound Haryana, Shah stepped up his attack on the Congress and alleged that the guarantees given by Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi have failed in states like Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka.

Addressing an election rally in Badshahpur in Gurugram, Shah said the Congress makes tall promises during elections but they have failed to fulfil their poll promises in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana. “Rahul Gandhi’s guarantees have failed,” Shah said.

On the other hand, Union Home Minister Shah said the BJP does not make any promise that cannot be fulfilled. “Rahul baba and company cannot do development,” he said and only a ‘double engine’ government will ensure development in Haryana. He said, “We will keep the country’s borders safe, protect reservation and will never allow Article 370 to come back.”

Referring to the Waqf Bill, Shah said at the rally, “You have a problem with the existing legislation on Waqf Board… We will amend it in the winter session of Parliament.”

Last month, several opposition leaders had alleged that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government’s Waqf Amendment Bill was aimed at creating divisions in society and said they would strongly oppose it.

Every 10th soldier in the Army is from Haryana: Amit Shah

Campaigning for party candidates in the Gurugram area, including Rao Narbir Singh from Badshahpur, Shah said every 10th soldier in the Army comes from Haryana.

Union Home Minister Shah said that from Indira Gandhi to Manmohan Singh, the Congress did not fulfill the demand of One Rank One Pension and the Narendra Modi government gave One Rank One Pension in 2015.

Targeting Rahul Gandhi over the Agneepath scheme, Shah called Rahul Gandhi a “lie machine” and alleged that the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha has claimed that Agniveers will not get jobs.

After five years, every Agniveer will have a pensionable job!

He said that the Agniveer scheme has been started to keep the armed forces young. Amidst the Congress’s continuous attack on the BJP on this issue, Shah said in the public meeting, “Do not hesitate to send your children to the army. Haryana and the Center will give pensionable jobs to every Agniveer. After five years, you will not find a single Agniveer who is deprived of a pensionable job.”

With Navratri starting from October 3, Shah said, “While voting on October 5, you have to answer Rahul Baba and his party Congress as to who insults ‘Shakti’.”

He alleged that the Congress has “become blind in appeasement.”

Earlier, development of one caste and one district used to take place: Home Minister

Targeting the Bhupendra Singh Hooda government, he said that the previous Congress governments used to develop one caste and one district. Shah said that in 2014, the people of Haryana elected the BJP government and equal development has taken place in the last 10 years.

Without naming anyone, Shah alleged, “During the Hooda government, dealers, brokers and sons-in-law ruled and corruption was at its peak. Several acres of land were destroyed in Gurugram to make Delhi’s son-in-law rich.”

5 lakh jobs in five years

Union Home Minister Shah said, “Hooda sahab, even today your people are ready. I saw on WhatsApp that a candidate of your party is saying that make him an MLA and he will give 50 jobs to each of his supporters. How will he do this? Is there any rule or not? Whenever Congress comes to power, jobs are given on the basis of “kharchi aur parchi” (slip), while the BJP government has given 1.5 lakh jobs purely on the basis of merit.” He said that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) retains power in Haryana, the youth will be given 5 lakh jobs in five years purely on the basis of merit. Shah alleged that slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ were raised in Congress rallies from Hathin to Thanesar and Thanesar to Palwal. He said, “I want to ask Rahul Baba that when your party leaders and workers are raising slogans of Pakistan Zindabad, why are you silent? Why don’t you stop them? Congress has become blind in appeasement.”

On the issue of Article 370, Shah alleged that Congress wants to restore it in Jammu and Kashmir. He said, “Kashmir is our own and as long as Modi government is there, only the tricolour will fly there.”

Shah said in the rally, “The brave soldiers of Haryana have made many sacrifices for the security of Kashmir and we will not let it go in vain.”

24 crops will be procured at MSP

Senior BJP leader Shah alleged that when the Congress was in power in Haryana, they used to procure only wheat and paddy at the minimum support price (MSP), while the BJP government has decided that 24 crops will be procured at MSP.

He also talked about the significant increase in the MSP of different crops during the BJP government.

Referring to Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks on reservation, Shah said that as long as the BJP is there, Other Backward Classes (OBCs) and Scheduled Castes (SCs), they will not let the party touch reservation.

Shah said, “The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government gave Rs 41,000 crore to Haryana between 2004 and 2014 while the Modi government gave Rs 2.92 lakh crore between 2014 and 2024.

Voting for the 90-member Haryana Assembly will be held on October 5 and the results will be declared on October 8.
