Amidst these circumstances, IMD has also issued a yellow alert of severe cold in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana.
Situation in Delhi from 11 January to 17 January
There was light fog in Delhi-NCR on the morning of 11 January, but melting and chill continues. According to the Meteorological Department, cold and fog will continue in Delhi-NCR for a few more days. According to IMD, the minimum temperature on January 11 is expected to be 7 degrees and maximum 15 degrees. Whereas on January 12, the minimum temperature is likely to be 6 degrees and maximum 17 degrees and there is a possibility of light fog. On January 13, there may be light fog and minimum temperature of 7 degrees and maximum of 17 degrees. There will be a little more fog on January 14 and the minimum temperature can go up to 8 degrees and maximum 18 degrees.
Fog is expected to remain high on 15th January i.e. the day of Makar Sankranti and the minimum temperature is likely to be 7 degrees and maximum 18 degrees. There may be fog on the morning of 16th and 17th January and the minimum temperature may be 8 degrees and maximum 17 degrees.

Normal life has also been affected due to cold.The speed of vehicles on the roads has stopped, while many trains are running late.Indian Railways has released a list of 24 trains which are running late from Delhi.Check their names here and before leaving the house, definitely check their running status.
