The Meteorological Department said that in some districts of Western Rajasthan, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh, the temperature has been recorded between 40 to 43 degrees. The Meteorological Department says that the temperature in the capital Delhi may reach close to 40 degrees in the coming days. The sky will be cloudy on Thursday, due to which the minimum temperature may drop.
Due to the active Western Disturbance in the country, rain and hailstorm are being seen in many states during the summer season. According to the Meteorological Department, the rainy season will continue for three days from Thursday in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. Apart from this, there is rain alert in 14 districts of Rajasthan also. There may also be rain in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar and Andaman and Nicobar. Whereas there is a possibility of snowfall in some areas of Jammu-Kashmir and Himachal after April 13.
The Meteorological Department said that the reason for the change in weather is the winds i.e. Western Disturbance that reach North India via Iran and Pakistan. Due to this, the weather is continuously changing in February, March and now even in April. However, the weather will change again after April 15, after which the states will start experiencing intense heat.
Rain on 13 and 14 April
The Meteorological Department said that in some districts of Western Rajasthan, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh, the temperature has been recorded between 40 to 43 degrees. The sky will be cloudy on Thursday, due to which the minimum temperature may drop. However, there are chances of rain on 13th and 14th April. According to the Meteorological Department, after the rain the temperature may drop by four to five degrees. This can give people some relief from the heat.
It may rain in these states
The Meteorological Department said that between April 11 and 13, there may be light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada and Central Maharashtra. Strong winds (30-50 kmph) may occur in these states.
Light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely over Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Andaman and Nicobar Islands between April 11 and 13. Apart from this, there are chances of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in Telangana, Kerala, Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu between April 11 and 15.
Scattered light rain and snowfall is possible in the Western Himalayas between April 11 and 12. There may be heavy rain between 13th and 15th April. There is a possibility of heavy snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir on 13 and 14 April and Himachal Pradesh on 14 April.
Similarly, between April 13 and 14, there are chances of strong winds along with rain in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. Between April 11 and 15, light to moderate rain with dust storm and lightning may occur in Rajasthan.
This is how the weather system is creating in the country
The Meteorological Department says that the western disturbance is 3.1 km above mean sea level over Afghanistan and adjacent northern Pakistan. A low pressure line is formed in the mid-tropospheric westerly winds and its axis is about 5.8 km above mean sea level with longitude. It continues till north of 71° East and 30° North latitude.
Apart from this, there is an area of cyclonic winds over south-eastern Rajasthan. At the same time, a trough extends from south-east Rajasthan to north-east Bangladesh via Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and sub-Himalayan West Bengal at lower levels. While an active western disturbance is likely to affect northwest India from April 12.
