Weather Alert Today: Rain-lightning warning in 34 districts, heavy rain in 8 districts, know IMD’s forecast

Madhya Pradesh has received an average of 36.57 inches of rainfall so far, whereas it should have been 36.68 inches. Now the overall rainfall in the state is only 0.3% less. The eastern part has received 4% less rainfall and the western part has received 3% more rainfall. The rainfall figure in Narsinghpur is more than 51 inches. Whereas Satna, Ashoknagar, Rewa and Sidhi districts have received the least rainfall.

Weather Alert Today: At present, Psychic Circulation System and Trough Line are active in the state, due to which the rainy season is going to continue in Madhya Pradesh for the next two days. Today on Sunday, there is a possibility of light rain in 34 districts, while there may be heavy rain in 6 districts. During this period, a warning of moderate to heavy rain has been issued in the southern part of the state. According to the MP Meteorological Department, due to the low pressure area forming in the Bay of Bengal, the weather pattern will remain the same for the next three days, after this there may be a period of clouds and rain from September 27 to September 29.

There may be moderate to heavy rain in Betul, Dindori, Mandla, Balaghat, Seoni, Harda, Seoni, Khandwa, Chhindwara in the southern part of the state.

Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Narmadapuram, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Ratlam, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar-Malwa, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Light rain may occur in Bhind, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara and Sagar districts.

What does the meteorological department’s forecast say?

According to MP Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circle has formed in the western part of Jharkhand, from where a trough line is extending till western Madhya Pradesh. The monsoon trough line is going from Guna, Satna in Madhya Pradesh to the Bay of Bengal via Jaisalmer and Kota in Rajasthan. The impact of these weather systems is limited to the southern and northern parts of Madhya Pradesh, hence there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in many areas of the state. A low pressure area is expected to develop in the Bay of Bengal between 28-29 September, but its impact will also be towards the south.
