Weather Forecast: Intermittent rain will occur in these states including Delhi-NCR today, alert issued for these states as well

Weather Update: There will be heavy rain on Valentine's Day, IMD issues yellow alert

Weather Forecast: The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in most parts of the country for Sunday as well. There is a possibility of heavy rains in some areas, while in some states it will continue to rain intermittently.

Today Weather Forecast: People have got relief from the heat due to the incessant monsoon rains, but in some areas this rain has created havoc. Due to floods and landslides in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, western UP and northeastern states, the everyday life of the people has been greatly affected. Due to this, many deaths have taken place and in view of the security arrangements of the people, relief camps have been set up. Hundreds of tourists have been stranded in the hilly areas for almost a week due to rains, whose evacuation is underway. Rain is expected in these areas in the coming days as well.

The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Maharashtra, MP, Northeast states and some southern states. On the other hand, it will be cloudy in Delhi NCR as well and there is a possibility of intermittent rains.

There will be heavy rain in these areas

The death toll due to rain in Himachal Pradesh has reached 99. The work of taking people to safe places is going on. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain. The situation remains the same in Uttarakhand as well. According to IMD, apart from Himachal and Uttarakhand, heavy rains have been predicted in the coastal areas of West Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Odisha, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, East Rajasthan and Karnataka.

Intermittent rain will continue throughout the day in Delhi-NCR

Many areas of UP and Haryana including Delhi-NCR have been affected due to rain and rising water level of Yamuna river. Due to rising water level, many posh colonies of Delhi have become flood ponds. The entire area from bus stand to ITO has been made a pond. Although, now the water in the Yamuna river has started receding but the water level is still above the danger mark. After two days of sunshine in Delhi, it rained again on Saturday. The Meteorological Department has predicted cloudy weather and intermittent rains in the coming days as well.

Forecast of rain in these areas as well

There are chances of rains throughout the day in other states of the country as well. The Meteorological Department said that it will rain throughout the day in Andaman-Nicobar, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
