Weather System: At present, there is no possibility of getting relief from cold in many states of North India. Due to the effect of Western Disturbance, rain is being seen in many parts of the country. At the same time, there is heavy snowfall in the hilly areas, the effect of which is also visible in the plains of North India. However, the minimum temperature has also increased in many states of the country. The Meteorological Department says that due to snowfall, cold wave and dense fog may occur in the northern states of the country in the coming days.

Country’s weather system

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, the Western Disturbance is in the form of a trough in the mid-tropospheric westerly winds which is running north of 32 degrees north latitude along about 71 degrees east longitude. An induced cyclonic circulation is over northwest Rajasthan and surrounding areas.

Apart from this, jet stream winds of 130 to 140 knots are blowing in North-West India at 12.6 km above sea level. There is a cyclonic circulation over eastern Bangladesh and its changing areas. Due to these reasons, changes are being seen in the seasonal activities of the country.

Delhi weather condition

Due to the influence of western disturbance, there has been light rain in Delhi-NCR, but the cold has reduced. According to the Meteorological Department, foggy conditions may occur again in the country’s capital in the coming days. At the same time, there is a possibility of strong winds on 8th February. According to IMD, the minimum temperature of Delhi can remain between 7 to 9 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the maximum temperature is expected to be between 21 to 23 degrees Celsius.

How will be the weather of the country?

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain and snowfall is expected in the Western Himalayas, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh during the next 24 hours. At the same time, the weather will clear over the Western Himalayas but sporadic rain and snowfall in Arunachal Pradesh may continue for the next 24 to 48 hours.

Apart from this, light rain is possible in parts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Northeast India. Dense to very dense fog may occur in some parts of Punjab and Haryana in the morning. At the same time, dense fog may occur in some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Assam and Meghalaya.
