UP Weather: Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert. There will be a possibility of continuous thunderstorms and rain in UP from Thursday. Due to continuous moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal, the mood of entire North India has changed. Its impact is more on Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Strong winds started blowing along with thunder from Wednesday morning itself. In the morning the storm started blowing at a speed of 45-50 km per hour.
Drizzle in some areas of Lucknow
There was drizzle in some areas of Lucknow city and light drizzle in others. As a result, the maximum temperature fell 3.7 degrees below normal. It was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius. A drop of 1.3 degree Celsius was also recorded in the minimum temperature which was recorded at 23.0.
Chances of rain with thunderstorm in Meerut
Amid the rapidly rising day and night temperatures, pre-monsoon activities may soon arrive in West UP including Meerut. On May 9 and 10, there may be dust storm and light drizzle in the entire area. Before this, the scorching heat will continue in West UP. According to the Meteorological Department, on Monday, day temperature in Meerut was recorded at 40.6 and night temperature was 25.3 degree Celsius, which was 3.1 and 2.9 degree Celsius respectively more than normal. Compared to Sunday, there was a decrease of 0.2 degrees Celsius during the day while an increase of 2.9 degrees Celsius was recorded at night. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature can reach 42 degrees Celsius in the coming 72 hours. At the same time, the air quality has also started deteriorating amid the scorching heat. On Monday, AQI of Meerut was recorded at 210 which is in poor category.
Day temperature is falling rapidly in Kanpur
According to the weather station of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology (CSA), the maximum temperature was 42 degrees Celsius on May 5, 41.2 degrees Celsius on May 6, 37.8 degrees Celsius on May 7 and 34.4 degrees Celsius on May 8. The temperature dropped by 3.4 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours and 06.8 degrees Celsius in the last 48 hours. The maximum temperature was 05.1 degrees Celsius below normal. The minimum temperature was 24 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature at the Air Force Weather Station on Wednesday was 36.2 and the minimum was 25.1 degrees Celsius.

Seasonal disturbances will last till May 13. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of thunderstorm on May 13. There will be a yellow alert on this day also.
