Weather Update: Cold wave to hit before Diwali! Strong western disturbance likely to hit North India

According to the Meteorological Department, cold may start in North India before Diwali. Actually, a strong Western Disturbance is going to arrive about a week before the festival, due to which moderate rain is expected in many northern states and heavy rain in some places.

Weather Update: As Diwali approaches, there is going to be a significant change in the weather pattern in North India, as a strong western disturbance is going to arrive about a week before the festival. According to the IMD, the weather conditions are expected to change between October 24 and 26, which will affect both the Himalayan region and the northern plains.

Cold wave before Diwali

Due to the western disturbance, moderate rain is expected in many northern states and heavy rain at some places. During this time, heavy rains are likely in the areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, North Haryana and Uttarakhand. This western disturbance can initiate winter-like conditions in these areas before the festival of Diwali.

However, according to the forecast of the Meteorological Department (IMD), there will be a lot of rain in the hilly areas, but there is no possibility of rain in Delhi-NCR. As the festival of Diwali is approaching, people of North India are not only waiting for the festival but also the possibility of nature blooming, as the cold season is going to start soon in the northern states.

Minimum temperature started falling in Delhi

A slight chill is being felt in the morning and night in Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), a drop in the minimum temperature has been recorded in Delhi-NCR. At the same time, the sky will remain clear in Delhi throughout this week and the movement of clouds will continue during this period. According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Delhi can remain between 33 to 35 degrees Celsius throughout this week and the minimum temperature is likely to remain around 17 to 19 degrees Celsius.

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, the northern plains are gradually getting colder. The temperature in Delhi is gradually going down. The northwesterly winds coming from the slopes of the mountains can reduce the mercury in Delhi. The evenings and nights will be pleasant and a light breeze will be felt in the morning along with mild coolness. There will be no humidity during the day and the afternoon will be pleasant with mild warmth.
