Weather Update: Cold wave will increase in these states, Meteorological Department issued alert for two weeks

The Meteorological Department has given the forecast for the next two weeks. According to this, after January 5, cold wave is expected to range from 68 to 100% in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. At the same time, in some areas of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, there is a possibility of 34 to 67% cold wave during this period.

The Meteorological Department has issued an update on the weather for the next two weeks for the states of North India.

Cold wave is not expected in the rest of the country in the next two weeks. This estimate has been issued for the period from December 29 to January 11.

However, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of cold day conditions from December 29 to December 31 in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, there will be very dense fog in UP, North Rajasthan, Bihar, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Punjab till December 31.

Condition of other areas

According to Skymet, the weather forecasting agency, today i.e. on December 30, light rain at one or two places along with moderate rain is possible in Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep. At the same time, on December 31 and January 1, there may be light rain and snowfall in the upper areas of the Western Himalayas.

Fog alert in these states

Dense to very dense fog may continue in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan, parts of Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. Cold day conditions are possible in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
