Weather Update: Due to increasing heat in Delhi, there may be rain till evening

IMD Alert: Now the heat has started increasing in the capital. Due to this, the average maximum temperature in Delhi reached more than 34 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Due to this, Saturday was the hottest so far this season. The maximum temperature in Delhi’s Pitampura and Najafgarh crossed 35 degrees Celsius. Because of this the heat has started making one sweat.

Rainfall Update: Now the heat has started increasing in the capital. Due to this, the average maximum temperature in Delhi reached more than 34 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Due to this, Saturday was the hottest so far this season.

The maximum temperature in Delhi’s Pitampura and Najafgarh crossed 35 degrees Celsius. Because of this the heat has started making one sweat. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will change slightly on Sunday.

The sky will be partly cloudy and there may be light showers on Sunday late evening or night before Holi. During this period, there may be light drizzle at some places in Delhi.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 34.1 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees Celsius above normal. This is the highest so far this season. The minimum temperature recorded was 16.2 degrees Celsius which is one degree Celsius below normal.

The maximum temperature in Pitampura was recorded at 35.7 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 20.5 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Najafgarh was 35.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 19.6 degrees Celsius.

A day ago, the maximum temperature in Delhi was 32.6 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was 18 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, by March 28, the maximum temperature can reach 36 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature can reach 19 degrees Celsius.

Air quality reaches poor category in Delhi

Pollution levels have increased in Delhi. Due to this, three days later on Saturday, the air quality in Delhi again reached the poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), pollution levels are likely to improve on Sunday. Therefore, the air quality may remain in the moderate category for three days from Sunday to Tuesday.

According to CPCB report, Delhi’s air index was 232 which is in poor category. A day ago, Delhi’s air index was 166 in the moderate category. There was a slight increase in the level of pollution due to dust particles in the atmosphere and local reasons. Earlier on March 20 also, Delhi’s air index was 229 in the poor category.

At two places among the 36 pollution monitoring centers in Delhi, the air index was more than 300 in the very poor category. Which includes Shadipur and Mundka. The air index at these two places was 321 and 308 respectively. Among NCR cities, air quality remained in the poor category in Faridabad, Greater Noida and Gurugram. Whereas the air quality in Ghaziabad and Noida remained in the moderate category.
