Weather Update: Extreme heat will increase in Delhi from Wednesday; Know what the weather will be like today

Delhi Weather: Now the effect of heat is about to start in Delhi-NCR. The temperature on Monday was around 32 degrees. The rain caused by western disturbance on Sunday gave some relief but now the mercury will rise.

Delhi Weather: A day before Holi, the weather took a turn once again and there was drizzle in some parts of Delhi-NCR. Due to rain after about seven days, the temperature of the capital has once again reached below 30 degrees. During this period, winds blew at a speed of 40 km per hour in some areas. This change in weather happened due to western disturbance. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), mild effect of western disturbance will be seen on Tuesday also. The sky will be cloudy.

It will be cloudy today

The Meteorological Department said on Sunday that Delhi-NCR will remain cloudy till Tuesday and the maximum temperature will now be around 32-33 degrees Celsius. IMD scientist Kuldeep Srivastava said, ‘The sky remained cloudy during the day in most parts of the National Capital Region (NCR) and winds were blowing at a speed of 40 km per hour. This happened due to western disturbance in northwest India. Its effect is likely to end by Monday morning, but due to moisture in the air, the sky will remain light cloudy on Tuesday.

Temperature was 32 degrees on Monday

Meanwhile, the minimum temperature in Delhi on Sunday was 16.9 degrees Celsius, which is normal at this time of the year. The temperature on Saturday was 16.2 degrees Celsius. On Monday, the maximum temperature was recorded around 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was around 16 degrees Celsius. According to IMD data, light rain was recorded at Safdarjung, Lodhi Road and Ridge station between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm on Sunday. No rain was recorded at other weather stations in Delhi.

Temperature will rise from Wednesday

Meteorologist Srivastava says that the days are likely to become hot once again from Wednesday. By Thursday the maximum temperature may cross 35 degrees Celsius and 36 degrees Celsius. He said, ‘Clouds are gradually decreasing, by Wednesday the sky will clear once again and by Thursday the maximum temperature can reach 36 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the minimum temperature is likely to rise to 19 degrees Celsius by Thursday. The highest temperature recorded so far in March was 33.6 degrees Celsius on March 20.
