Meteorological Department estimates that there will be extreme heat in the country in April and May. In Telangana and Maharashtra the mercury has been recorded close to 40 degrees. An advisory has also been issued by the Health Department in both these states, in which people have been advised not to go out of the house during strong sunlight from now on.
In the national capital on Saturday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.1 degrees, minimum temperature was 20.2 degrees Celsius, which is the normal temperature of this season.
Light rain with thunder in Rajasthan
Light rain along with thunder was recorded in many areas of Rajasthan during the last 24 hours. According to Meteorological Center Jaipur, in the last 24 hours, light rain with thunder has been recorded in some parts of Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Jaipur, Bharatpur divisions.
Temperature recorded at 37.8 degrees Celsius
According to the department, maximum rainfall of 14 mm each was recorded in Ajmer, Jaisalmer and Bhopalgarh. Drizzle and light rain is continuing in many parts of the state for the last two days. During this period, the maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 37.8 degrees Celsius in Vanasthali Tonk. According to the department, due to the changed weather, the maximum temperature is being recorded lower than normal.

Heat wave was expected to last till April 6 in Karnataka, Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry. There is a possibility of some improvement in the weather today.

Hot weather conditions are expected in Kerala, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu till April 8. Similar conditions will remain in Goa till April 7.
