Today, heavy rain alert has been issued in Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Satna, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Katni, Seoni, Panna, Damoh, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari. There may be light rain in Bhopal, Gwalior and Ujjain, drizzle in Indore and heavy rain in some areas of Jabalpur.
MP Weather alert: Due to the low pressure area over Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, the rainy season is going to continue in Madhya Pradesh till the end of July. Due to the increasing activity of monsoon in the south-eastern part, there will be heavy rains for two days. Today on Saturday, heavy rain alert has been issued in 15 districts of Rewa, Shahdol and Sagar divisions, there may be light rain in Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur and Gwalior divisions. There may be light rain in Bhopal, Gwalior and Ujjain, drizzle in Indore and heavy rain in some areas of Jabalpur.
According to the MP Meteorological Department, at present a Monsoon trough is passing through Gwalior, Sidhi, Ambikapur. The upper air cyclone is over Bengal and Jharkhand. A cyclonic circle has formed in Haryana. Under the influence of these weather systems, moisture is coming from the Bay of Bengal and light to moderate rain may occur at many places in Chambal division and at some places in Gwalior division during the next 24 hours, while at some places in Guna, Shivpuri and Bhind districts. Moderate to heavy rain may also occur at some places.

Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Ratlam, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar-Malwa, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Guna, Moderate rain warning has been issued in Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena and Sheopur.
So far 5% more rain than normal
- Madhya Pradesh has received overall 5% more rainfall since June 1.
- The eastern part of the state received 7% less and 16% more rainfall in the western part.
- Rain between 24 to 27 inches in Seoni, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Sehore, Narmadapuram, Indore and Harda.
- Betul, Mandla, Sagar, Barwani, Burhanpur, Dewas, Raisen and Vidisha received 20 inches or more of rain.
- 16 inches in Bhopal, Anuppur, Balaghat, Dindori, Jabalpur, Agar-Malwa, Guna, Jhabua, Neemuch and Shajapur.
- Less than 8 inches in Satna.
- Rewa, Singrauli, Datia and Gwalior have recorded less than 10 inches of rain.
