The latest update has been issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Meteorologists have predicted light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in various parts of the country from March 16 to March 18. There is also a possibility of hailstorm in some areas. IMD says that the weather conditions may become harsh in the coming times in Eastern and Central India. Let us tell you that Rabi crop is being prepared in Eastern and Central India. The crop is ripe and harvesting is underway. In such a situation, if it rains or hail falls, farmers may suffer huge losses.

Weather forecast from 16th to 18th March
Weather forecast has been issued by the Meteorological Department for the period from March 16 to March 18, 2024. Meteorologists say that during this period, there may be light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in Eastern as well as Central India. From West Bengal to Jharkhand, Odisha and eastern part of Bihar may be affected. During the last few weeks, there has been rain with strong winds in various states of the country. Heavy hailstorm has also occurred in some states, causing extensive damage.

IMD has once again expressed the possibility of hailstorm. The forecast issued by the Meteorological Department says that on March 16, 2024, there may be rain and hailstorm in different places of Gangetic West Bengal. Even before this, there has been hailstorm along with heavy rain in the eastern as well as central and northern parts of the country. Farmers had to suffer huge losses due to this. Along with wheat standing in the fields, crops of pulses and oilseeds were badly affected. There is a possibility of damage to the mango crop also.
