Weather Update: Relief from heat will be available after 3 days, know how the weather will be in June

According to the Meteorological Department, after three days, due to the activation of a western disturbance, rain and hailstorm activities can be seen in many states of the country, due to which people are expected to get some relief from the scorching heat.

Many states of North India are in the grip of heat wave these days. According to the Meteorological Department, the heat wave is expected to continue in North-West India and parts around the central region in June. However, a new Western Disturbance is going to be active from May 29, due to which rain and hailstorm activities can be seen in many states. The Meteorological Department says that after 3 days, people are expected to get some relief from the scorching heat due to rain.

Relief from heat can be found after three days

IMD chief Mrityunjay Mahapatra said that except some parts of southern peninsular India, the maximum temperature is expected to be higher than normal in the whole country in June. There is a possibility of more than normal heatwave days in June in North-West India and parts around the central region. Usually, two-three heatwave days are recorded in June in North-West India and surrounding areas, but this time the heatwave is expected to last for four to six days.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, due to the western disturbance and moisture coming from the Arabian Sea, the northwestern and central parts of the country are expected to get some relief from the scorching heat after three days. During this time, storm activity can be seen in northwest India and there is a possibility of rain in the western Himalayan region.

Heat wave will continue in June as well

According to the IMD, heat wave prevailed for 9 to 12 days in Rajasthan and Gujarat in May and the temperature reached 45 to 50 degree Celsius. On the other hand, five to seven days of heatwave days were recorded in Delhi, South Haryana, South-West Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. During this time the maximum temperature was recorded between 44 degree Celsius and 48 degree Celsius. Apart from this, heat wave also prevailed in Assam on 25-26 May with record breaking temperatures.

The IMD has attributed the heatwave in northwest India and parts of the central region in the second week of May to lack of rainfall, strong dry and hot winds, an anti-cyclonic circulation over southwest Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat. At the same time, out of the five western disturbances affecting North India, only two were active, due to which rain activity was also less.

This year, the severe heat in most of the states of India has brought the crisis of electricity and water in front of the people, due to which the normal life of the people has been disrupted. At the same time, due to the heatwave in May, the temperature has reached the highest level ever in many places across the country including Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh. The heat of summer has affected the hilly areas apart from the plains this year.
