IMD Weather Update: According to the Meteorological Department, the deep pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal can take the form of a cyclonic storm on Friday i.e. today, which will also have an impact on the weather.

Weather Update Today: Since Diwali, there is a decline in the temperature of the country. The weather is currently cold in many states of the country including the capital Delhi. On the other hand, the Meteorological Department said that the deep pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal can take the form of a cyclonic storm on Friday i.e. today and can cross the Bangladesh coast. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of heavy rain in many states.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Delhi today i.e. Friday (October 17) is likely to be 27 degrees and the minimum temperature will be 15 degrees Celsius. On Thursday, the maximum temperature here was 26 degrees, whereas on Wednesday, the coldest day till date was recorded and a drop of three degrees was recorded in a single day. Talking about air quality, fluctuations were seen in air quality on Thursday. AQI was recorded very poor here.

AQI between zero and 50 is ‘good’, 51 to 100 is ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 is ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 is ‘poor’, 301 to 400 is ‘very poor’ and 401 to 450 is ‘poor’. Is considered ‘serious’. When AQI exceeds 450, it is considered in the ‘very serious’ category.

How is the weather going to be?

Cold has gradually arrived in Uttar Pradesh too. Here people are feeling cold in the morning and night while there is strong sunlight during the day. In Uttarakhand on Thursday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 28.5 degrees Celsius, 3 degrees above normal and the minimum temperature was recorded at 10.8 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, no change in the weather is expected at present. Apart from this, snowfall is being seen in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and hilly areas.

The Meteorological Department said in a bulletin regarding the cyclonic storm that on Thursday the pressure area strengthened into a deep depression and is moving in the north-northeast direction at a speed of 17 kilometers per hour. At 8.30 am on Thursday, it was about 390 km east-southeast of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and 320 km south-southeast of Paradip in Odisha.
