IMD Weather Update: Monsoon still remains active in many states of the country. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in 22 states.
Weather Update Today: Rainy season still continues in some parts of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, rain is expected in many states of the country till September 30. Not only this, there is also a possibility of lightning in many areas. It may remain partly cloudy in the capital Delhi today i.e. on 24th September and there is a possibility of light rain at some places. Today IMD has predicted the possibility of rain in other states including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, UP, Bihar.
Where will it rain today?
There was relief from heat and humidity after the rain in Delhi-NCR on Saturday. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain and thundershowers in the capital. During this period, the maximum temperature is likely to be around 36 degrees and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 25 degrees Celsius. On Saturday, the maximum temperature of Delhi was one degree above normal and the minimum temperature was three degrees above normal. The situation is out of control after the flood in Nagpur, Maharashtra, due to which 10 thousand houses have been damaged. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced compensation to the victims. IMD has issued orange alert for Nagpur.
According to the Meteorological Department, on Sunday (September 24), there may be light rain in Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Northeast Rajasthan, Northern Madhya Pradesh, Interior Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Apart from this, moderate to heavy rain is possible in West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, parts of Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Chance of heavy rain in these states
According to the IMD forecast, there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places with light to moderate rain over Western Assam, Meghalaya, Southern Madhya Pradesh, Eastern Gujarat, South-East Rajasthan and Lakshadweep today. Along with this, one or two intense rains along with light to moderate rain may occur in some parts of Northeast India, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
