According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there may be dense fog in the morning in some parts of Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim. At the same time, the minimum temperature in many parts of Eastern and Central India may fall by 2 to 3 degrees. Due to this, people may have to face cold wave. However, the Meteorological Department has also said that after this the minimum temperature may increase by 2-3 degrees.

Bone-shivering cold conditions persist in Kashmir

The minimum temperature remained below zero at most places in Kashmir on Thursday, due to which the bone-chilling cold conditions persist in the valley. The officers provided this information. Gulmarg skiing resort in north Kashmir recorded a minimum temperature of minus 12 degrees Celsius, down from minus 10.5 degrees last night. Wednesday night in Gulmarg was the coldest night in the valley as the temperature dropped below freezing. Pahalgam in south Kashmir recorded a minimum temperature of minus 11.9 degrees Celsius.

Kokernag and Qazigund in south Kashmir recorded minimum temperatures of minus 4.5 degrees and minus 6.4 degrees Celsius respectively. The minimum temperature in Srinagar was recorded at minus 5.2 degrees Celsius. In this winter season, the minimum temperature in Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Qazigund and Srinagar remained about five degrees below normal. Currently, a period of 20 days of Chilla-e-Khurd (small cold) is going on in the valley.
