WeCare FD scheme: State Bank of India (SBI) has again extended the tenure of its special FD scheme. Last date to apply for SBI Vicare FD has been extended. A higher rate of interest can be availed in this FD for investment tenures ranging from 5 years to 10 years. This is a special FD scheme for senior citizens.

SBI Vicare FD Scheme
State Bank of India (SBI) has given information about this on its website. “SBI is proud of its offering to senior citizens. Introducing a new deposit scheme ‘SBI Vicare’ to protect income by offering additional interest on term deposits,” the website said. SBI Vicare interest rate is 7.50 percent.
SBI Amruta Kalash Interest Rate
India’s largest bank, State Bank of India (SBI) also has a special FD scheme. Amrita Kalash FD Retail Term Deposit Scheme is one of the exclusive FD schemes of SBI. It will expire at the end of this month itself i.e. at the end of June.
SBI has restarted this FD scheme which was discontinued earlier. According to the SBI website, this 400-day amruta kalash is 7.1 per cent for FD customers. The interest rate for senior citizens is 7.6 percent. According to the SBI website, “Interest rate for 400 days FD (Amrita Kalash) is 7.10 per cent. For senior citizens it is 7.60 per cent,” it is quoted.
Last date of both FD schemes
Last date to apply for SBI Vicare has been extended till September 30, 2023. Currently this scheme allows for fresh investment or updating of maturing deposits. SBI Vicare interest rate is 7.50%. The SBI Amrita Kalash Special Fixed Deposit (FD) scheme has also been extended.
Earlier, after the expiry of the SBI Amrita Kalash Special Scheme, it was again extended till June 30. But now the period has been extended till August 15, 2023. The bank has recently launched this scheme in February. Initially it was from 15th February to 31st March.
