Senior Trinamool Congress MP Shishir Adhikari (Sisir Adhikari) has said that if he is invited, he will attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s (Narendra Modi) rally in Kanthi on 20 March. Shishir is the father of Shubhendu Adhikari who recently joined TMC and joined BJP.
Kolkata: In the battle of West Bengal Assembly Election 2021 (West Bengal Assembly Election 2021), Mamata Banerjee’s ‘apne’ continuously abandons her and joins BJP. The name of senior Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Shishir Adhikari (Sisir Adhikari) is also going to join this episode. MP Shishir Adhikari has said that he can attend the public meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) in Kanthi on 20 March.
Shubendu’s father is a senior officer
Shishir is the father of BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari (Suvendu Adhikari). Recently, Shubhendu, who left Trinamool Congress (TMC) and joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is contesting on the Nandigram Legislative Assembly seat against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee (Mamata Banerjee). On the question of joining BJP, Shishir Adhikari said, ‘If I am invited and my sons allow it, then I will attend Modi ji’s public meeting.’
Locket Chatterjee met
Let me tell you, two sons of MP Shishir Shubhendu and Soumendu Adhikari have joined BJP. Another son of Shishir Bhagat, Dibyendu is an MP from TMC. BJP MP Lockett Chatterjee had gone to Shishir Adhikari’s residence on Saturday and had lunch together. However, both of them described it as a ‘courtesy call’.
Did not reach Mamta’s rally
Shubhendu Adhikari joined the BJP in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He then persuaded his younger brother Soumendu to join the BJP. Shubendu Adhikari’s younger brother Dibyendu and father Shishir Adhikari are Lok Sabha members from Tamuk and Kanthi respectively. Both of them did not reach Mamta Banerjee’s rally in the past, since then there are speculations about her joining BJP.
40-45 Impact in Legislative Assembly Constituencies
These officer brothers have considerable influence in East and West Midnapore, Bankura, Purulia, Jhargram and Birbhum and at least 40-45 Vidhan Sabha constituencies in the minority dominated Murshidabad district. Shubhendu Adhikari, who was very close to Mamta Banerjee, looks to be a big challenge for TMC today. BJP is constantly watching the rebel leaders of TMC. All TMC leaders are still in touch with the BSP. Legislative assembly elections are to be held in April-May in the state.
