WhatsApp New Feature: Way of talking on WhatsApp will change, username and pin will work, know how

WhatsApp Username Feature: Recently there was news that WhatsApp is testing a feature that will allow desktop users to create a unique username. Now a new online report suggests that WhatsApp is working on an advanced username feature for Android users, which comes with PIN support.

WhatsApp New Feature: WhatsApp is an instant messaging app, which is used by crores of users. The company keeps bringing new features for its users from time to time. Recently there was news that WhatsApp is testing a feature that will allow desktop users to create a unique username. Now a new online report suggests that WhatsApp is working on an advanced username feature for Android users, which comes with PIN support.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, this feature will allow users to choose a unique username for their account in the future. It also provides an additional layer of security.

How will this feature work

According to the report, this feature will allow people to contact you on WhatsApp using a username without the need to share a phone number. This gives users the option to better manage their privacy, as they can choose to use their username for new interactions instead of their phone number. However, people who already have your phone number will still be able to see it, but you can choose to use your username to initiate further conversations.

Extra layer of security

The report further states that “This PIN will serve as an additional layer of privacy, especially for people you haven’t interacted with before. You will be able to choose a PIN of at least four digits that you feel comfortable sharing with others, but it should never include private information, such as your two-step verification code. As a way to limit unwanted messages, others will need to enter your PIN before contacting you by your username for the first time. Once the PIN is set, users will need to share it with people they want to connect with.”
