According to the report of Wabetainfo, some beta testers have started getting the new Secret code feature through WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.24.20 update. This new secret lock feature will help in locking and hiding the private chats of users. A screenshot has also been shared in the report, in which information related to this feature is visible.

How will the Secret Code feature work?
It can be seen in the screenshot that WhatsApp users will get a new chat lock settings option in the settings option. In this settings, two options of Hide Locked Chats and Secret code can be found. When Hide Lock Chat toggle is on, chats with secret code will be hidden from your chat window. To access these chats you will have to enter a secret code. You will have to enter the secret code in the search bar at the top of the chat, after which you will be able to see all the hidden chats.
With the help of this privacy feature, users will get a new level of privacy. In such a situation, this feature will be useful when someone else also knows the PIN of your WhatsApp. In such a situation, you will be able to hide some of your private chats from them also through the new secret code.
