In such a situation, many states have announced the dates of winter vacation for schools. In the next few days, other states may also announce winter vacation holidays for students. Delhi NCR
In the capital Delhi, the government has decided to reduce the winter vacation from 15 days to 6 days in view of the leave given in November due to poor air quality. Delhi Education Department issued a circular which reads, “Winter Vacation for the academic session 2023-2024 will be from 01.01.2024 (Monday) to 06.01.2024 (Saturday)”

Uttar Pradesh
No official announcement has been made yet by the Yogi Adityanath government regarding winter vacation in Uttar Pradesh. It is expected that as per last year’s schedule, the state can give 15 days of holidays to the students from approximately 31 December to 14 January. .
Rajasthan
Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has released the dates of winter vacation. Schools in the state will remain closed from December 25. Rajasthan Board tweeted on Monday that “Winter vacations in the state will start from December 25.”
Jammu
Apart from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Rajasthan, Jammu Education Board Directorate has also released the dates for winter vacation. There will be holidays in all government and private schools of the state from December 11, 2023 to February 29, 2024. According to the announcement, schools will remain closed for students up to class 8 from December 11, 2023, to February 29, 2024, while students from classes 9 to 12 will have holidays from December 18 to February 29.
