Many rules are going to change for the customers of State Bank of India (SBI) from July 1, 2021. After the implementation of the new rule, the use of ATM Cash Withdrawal and Check Book will be heavy on your pocket. The new charges will be applicable for Basic Savings Account Deposit (BSBD) account holders. Let us tell you how much money you will have to spend for which services now:
This increased charge on chquebook
- SBI BSBD account holders get 10 copies of checks in a financial year. Now charges will have to be paid on the check book containing 10 checks. For 10 check leaves, the bank will charge Rs 40 plus GST.
- For 25 check leave the bank will charge Rs 75 plus GST.
- Emergency check book will attract Rs 50 plus GST for 10 leaves. Senior citizens will be exempted from the new service charges on check books.
Cash Withdrawal Charges SBI allows BSBD account holders to make four free cash withdrawal transactions. After the free limit is exhausted, the bank charges the customers. The bank charges Rs 15 plus GST for withdrawing cash from the branch or ATM.
One can withdraw cash up to Rs 1 lakh per day
by check SBI has recently increased the limit of cash withdrawal using cheque to ₹ 1 lakh per day. Cash withdrawal using the Withdrawal Form with Savings Bank Passbook has been increased to ₹25,000 per day.
Benefits of SBI BSBD Account
- SBI Basic Savings Bank Deposit Account is for the poor section.
- Open the account without any charges or charges.
- It is also called zero balance savings account.
- There is no minimum or maximum balance required.
