The government has decided to increase the loan limit in the scheme being run for these people. It is being said that increasing the loan limit will provide great relief to women. The TDP coalition government is preparing to strengthen the members of self-help committees financially. The government says that women of the Dwakara community will be fully supported.
The state government says that there will be a lot of benefit from the increase in the Strinidi loan in the current financial year. Actually, the credit limit of the Mahila Fund has been increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 5 lakh. This will benefit more than 5.5 lakh people of Srikakulam district. The government’s goal is to provide loans easily to all the women members of the group.
The loan limit is different for each grade
The state government has issued guidelines in this regard. In this, the loan limit has been fixed according to the grade. These grades are divided as A, B, C and D. The government gives a grade to the community in every village. Loan is given according to that grade. That is, there is a different loan limit for each grade. In the current financial year 2024-25, a loan of Rs 170 crore is to be provided to the people under Stree Nidhi. At present, an amount of more than Rs 60 crore has been given to 8812 societies. Grade A gets a loan of 75 lakhs, Grade B gets 65 lakhs, Grade C gets 55 lakhs and Grade D gets 45 lakhs. This loan is given to a society (group).
Loan is available at low interest
V. Satyanarayana, AGM of Srikakulam Mahila Kosh said that the eligible communities will get the loan amount within 24 hours. He said that some separate money will also be given for family expenses. He further said that loans are given at low interest.
