Subhadra Yojna: The government has launched the Subhadra scheme for women. The BJP government in Odisha has launched the ‘Subhadra Yojana’ for women. Under this scheme, more than one crore women between the ages of 21 and 60 will be given financial assistance of Rs 10,000 every year for the next five years. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced the scheme in the Assembly and said that the scheme will be launched on September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Women will get Rs 50,000
Under this scheme, each woman will get a total of Rs 50,000, which will be given in the period from 2024-25 to 2028-29. Every year an amount of Rs 10,000 will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries, in two installments of Rs 5,000 each, on the occasion of Rakshabandhan and International Women’s Day. A budget of Rs 55,825 crore has been fixed for this.
You will get ‘Subhadra Debit Card’
Under the scheme, women will also be given ‘Subhadra Debit Card’, which will enable them to make digital transactions. Apart from this, 100 women who make the most digital transactions will also get an additional incentive of Rs 500 in each Gram Panchayat and Urban Body. The benefit of the scheme will be directly transferred to the Aadhaar-linked bank account of the woman.
How to apply
Women can get the form for this scheme from Anganwadi centers, block offices, Mo-Seva centers, and Jan Seva Kendras for free. ‘Subhadra Society’ will be formed to monitor the scheme, which will work under the Women and Child Development Department.
These women will not get the benefit
However, women from financially well-off families, government employees, taxpayers, or women who are already receiving assistance of Rs 1,500 or more every month under any other government scheme will not be eligible for this scheme. This scheme has been implemented by the BJP government as part of its election promise and is being considered an important step to get the support of women in Odisha.
