Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday announced the launch of the Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana to provide monthly assistance of Rs 1,000 to women in Delhi and promised to increase the amount to Rs 2,100 after the elections. Will you be able to register online?

Arvind Kejriwal said that registrations will start under this scheme from tomorrow i.e. December 13. At present, under the scheme, Aam Aadmi Party workers will manually go door-to-door and register women. There will be no portal available for online registration right now.

What is the eligibility for Mahila Samman Yojana?

Only those women who are official voters of Delhi can avail the benefit of Mahila Samman Yojana. Only those women whose annual income is Rs 2.50 lakh or less can avail the benefit of this scheme. The government is trying to ensure that only economically weaker women in the society can get its benefits. The minimum age limit for women to avail the benefits of this scheme is 18 years. The maximum age limit is 60 years. If a woman has a four-wheeler, she will not get the benefit of this scheme.

What is the eligibility for Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana?

  • The annual income of women should be up to or less than Rs 2.50 lakh.
  • The woman should be an official voter of Delhi.
  • The age of women should be more than 18 years and less than 60 years.
  • Women above 60 years of age are already being given the benefit of pension by the Delhi government.
  • If the woman has any four-wheeler in her name, she will not be considered eligible for the scheme.
