IT sector giant TCS has given a warning to its 5 lakh employees working from home to report to the office immediately. The company recently said that they will take strict action against those employees who do not follow the company’s order to work from office.
Due to the Corona epidemic, many small and big companies have given work from home facility to their employees. However, now that the situation is almost back to normal, many companies are asking their employees to work from office. In addition, many companies have started adopting hybrid culture. In this episode, IT sector giant TCS has given a warning to its 5 lakh employees working from home to report to the office immediately. The company recently said that they will take strict action against those employees who do not follow the company’s order to work from office.
However, in contrast to this, another leading IT company Infosys has given work from home facility to all its employees. Not only this, the company has emphasized on flexibility depending on the situation. In such a situation, it is being said that many employees of TCS can join Infosys to take advantage of this facility.
Strict action will be taken
Earlier TCS employees were required to work from office for at least 12 days every month. However, now the company has emphasized that actions like pay cut, demotion and even termination will be taken against the employees who do not follow the fixed work schedule. “You are hereby warned and directed to start reporting for work from your office location as per the prescribed roster with immediate effect,” the memo issued to the employees said.
TCS implemented a policy in October, in which it was mandatory for employees to work from office for three days every week. In recent months, the company has consistently encouraged its employees in India to return to the office.
